Man swipes $100k worth of chains from downtown LA jewelry store

Authorities are investigating a theft that occurred at approximately 11 a.m. on Saturday at Del Amo Jewelry Inc. in downtown Los Angeles, where a suspect allegedly stole around $100,000 worth of chains. The store’s owner, identified as Frank, reported that the man requested to see several options for a 14-carat Cuban chain.

Surveillance footage revealed the suspect, clad in all black, engaging with two employees before seizing the displayed chains and fleeing the scene. Frank mentioned that no employees were harmed during the incident, but the thief remains at large. He expressed a willingness to let the suspect go if the stolen merchandise is returned, stating, “If he brings back the whole merchandise, I will let him go; but if not, I would definitely be going after him.” Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact law enforcement.
