Norte Fire Evacuation Orders Fully Lifted, Residents Still Cautioned

On Saturday, authorities announced the lifting of all evacuation orders related to the Norte Fire in south Orange County, with the exception of a designated area on Via La Mirada north of Calle Esperanza. The fire, which has consumed 570 acres since igniting near Portico Del Norte in San Clemente on Friday morning, is currently reported to be 25% contained.

As of Saturday evening, seven homes in San Juan Capistrano have been affected, primarily on Via La Mirada. Video footage has shown scorched landscapes as firefighting efforts continue. Evacuation orders were initially issued for about 16,000 residents amid multiple neighborhoods surrounding the affected areas. Though all orders have been lifted, residents in the restricted zone can check on their homes but cannot remain there due to ongoing safety concerns.
