Eagles’ Jalen Hurts Injury Timeline Update: How Many Games Will Super Bowl MVP Miss?

The Philadelphia Eagles have confirmed that quarterback Jalen Hurts will not return this season after multiple blood clots were discovered in his lungs. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday that the situation is dire but that Hurts is expected to make a full recovery. Initially thought to be a superficial blood clot, an updated diagnosis revealed the more serious condition last Saturday.

Hurts’ agent, Nicole Lynn, provided further insights on her official X account, explaining the drastic shift in diagnosis necessitated immediate treatment instead of mere management of the injury. The Eagles currently sit at a 2-4 record, having lost four games in a row. There remains confusion surrounding the circumstances that allowed him to play despite the risks, leading to calls for transparency about how this injury developed.
