Coach Discusses Walker Kessler’s Impact on Lakers’ Competitiveness

In a strategic move this summer, the Los Angeles Lakers made Walker Kessler their key offseason acquisition. A formidable defender, Kessler, however, has faced challenges on the offensive end and dealt with significant health issues last season, appearing in only 5 games with the Utah Jazz prior to free agency. Despite these concerns, Denver Nuggets head coach David Adelman expressed that Kessler makes the Lakers a significant threat for the upcoming season.

Adelman highlighted Kessler’s defensive prowess, noting the difficulties opponents face when contending with the Lakers’ offensive strategies, especially with Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves leading the charge. He emphasized that the Lakers have established a coherent offense and praised Kessler’s defensive capabilities, suggesting the Lakers made a wise decision in acquiring him, showcasing confidence that could resonate positively with their fanbase.
