Blacklist Union Unveils New Single ‘Heavy Is The Crown’

'Heavy Is The Crown' marks the latest single from Blacklist Union, following their previous hits 'Jackson' and 'Madame Butterfly'.

LA rockers Blacklist Union return with their new single “Heavy Is The Crown”

‘Heavy Is The Crown’ marks the latest single from Blacklist Union, following their previous hits ‘Jackson’ and ‘Madame Butterfly’. This new track is part of their anticipated album, ‘The Good, The Bad And The Notorious’, scheduled for release in the spring of 2027.

The collaboration between band leader Tony West and Femme Fatale’s Lorraine Lewis has flourished, beginning with ‘Jackson’, which reinterpreted a classic by Johnny Cash and June Carter through a lens of punk and rock. After a successful tour with Faster Pussycat and Femme Fatale across the UK and Europe, where Lorraine joined the band for the performance of ‘Jackson’, Tony proposed to her atop the Eiffel Tower, a moment she accepted with a yes.

Since their formation in 2006, the Los Angeles-based band has continuously blended diverse musical influences. The group’s sound combines elements of hard rock, punk, and alternative, with their recent works drawing praise for their quality and energy. The upcoming album follows their 2025 release, ‘Slay The Dragon’, which received critical acclaim for its commercial appeal, and promises even more attitude and perhaps a touch of romance.

Tony West reflects on ‘Heavy Is The Crown’, saying it embodies a theme of perseverance, emphasizing that it’s always darkest before the dawn.
