After Bills cornerback C.J. Gardner-Johnson was ejected during his team’s victory over the Raiders for spitting at tight end Brock Bowers, 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk revealed that he too had a similar experience with Gardner-Johnson last season. Posting on social media, Juszczyk asserted that Gardner-Johnson, who then played for the Bears, spat at him during a game on December 28, 2025, when the 49ers triumphed over Chicago 42-38.
Juszczyk’s comments followed a turbulent season for the eight-year veteran, who has been labeled the league’s most annoying player in a 2024 poll. Gardner-Johnson has faced multiple penalties both on and off the field, including seven unnecessary roughness calls. His reputation has led to multiple fines exceeding $200,000, underscoring his ongoing controversial presence in the league.
