Bears’ Ben Johnson Sends Message on Kyler Gordon, Caleb Williams After Falcons Win

The Chicago Bears celebrated the return of both starting quarterback Caleb Williams and cornerback Kyler Gordon, who made his season debut following a soft-tissue injury sustained in the offseason. Williams threw for 305 yards with one touchdown, completing 30 of 36 passes for a passer rating of 111.2. Meanwhile, Gordon made a stunning impact with three sacks, three tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, and two forced fumbles, marking a significant achievement as the first defensive back in 40 years to achieve such statistics in a single game.

After the game, Bears head coach Ben Johnson praised both players. He mentioned Gordon’s readiness and the crucial role he played on defense, noting, ‘He’s so twitchy, hard to block as a blitzer, and tight in coverage.’ Johnson also expressed pride in Williams’s performance following his recovery from hamstring issues, highlighting his efficiency and game awareness, stating, ‘Super proud of him.’ The Bears are now focusing on their upcoming game against the New England Patriots.
